As a creative/freelancer, I typically don’t stay with a project/job longer than 6 months. This hasn’t been an issue for most recruiters/hiring managers because I’ve had experience with major companies and pick up great skills along the way. I’m Currently bagging another big client and they asked why I don’t have longevity with my past companies. I shared why but I want to seal the deal. How can I help them understand “I’m here for a good time not a long time” in a professional way?

Great question @Nia Ballard! The important thing here is to take responsibility and defuse the situation. In this instance, the employer wants reassurance that you won’t leave them in 6 months. I recommend being honest, let them know why your employment didn’t workout. If possible, try to tie your job hopping to a common problem and be prepared to explain how you have fixed that problem and reassure them that you don’t foresee that happening again due to xyz...Good luck on your next venture!😀
